How does a treadmill without a motor functions?

A motorless treadmill, like the Walkolution Treadmill, is powered entirely by the user's own movement. Instead of relying on a motor to drive the belt, it uses a slightly curved walking surface that naturally and effortlessly moves in response to your steps. The faster or slower you walk, the belt adjusts to match your pace without any delay. This self-regulating design allows you to control the speed intuitively without needing buttons or preset speeds, providing a much more natural and responsive walking experience.

Is it difficult to type on a treadmill desk?

Not at all! Your upper body remains stable while walking, and the pace on a treadmill desk is generally slow. Hands down the best

While expensive, the walkolution is clearly the best treadmill desk out there. It is, aesthetically great, zero maintainance and functions exactly as expected.

The Ara desk is very useful and recommended even if you have a standing desk. This is both because you so need the extra height it offers and the sliding desk functionality is something I use multiple times a day.

The Kybun is a fantastic surface if you are walking barefoot but it introduces a moss like walking surface which means less steps, more muscle activation, more fatigue (but it will make you stronger over time and you’ll get used to it). However the cost difference to the standard version is example high and I would think most people would be better off with the standard slat version instead of the Kybun

Very happy!

Ich habe das Laufband mit Tisch vor ein paar Wochen gekauft. Beides habe ich täglich im Einsatz. Selbst meine Tochter (10) macht auf einmal freiwillig ihre Hausaufgaben und sogar zusätzliche Übungen.
Bei längeren Meetings gehe ich gemütlich und bekomme so einige Kilometer zusammen.

It just works

For me, absolutely worth the price. It just works and contrast to an electrical one i don't have to fret if a motor is going to give, if i have the right oil for the band, i don't have to wonder if my electrical circle can keep up with the demand and i don't have to adjust the band every view weeks. Very nice. People can complain about the price as much as they want. I only regret not buying it sooner.

Great treadmill, service on delivery less so

Great treadmill, love the fact that it is human-powered. Solidly build and solid desk. Very much enjoy using it. Delivery was ok. It came with some smaller damages which not could have happened during transport I believe and believe there can be more empathy on solving this.

We sincerely apologize for the issues you faced with delivery and any small damages that occurred. We take your feedback seriously and are investigating this matter to ensure it's an isolated incident. We strive for excellence not just in our products but also in our service, and it seems we fell short on the latter.

Bewegung bei der Arbeit

Ich arbeite seit diesem Jahr nur noch von zu Hause - dadurch fiel der Arbeitsweg (10 km Radfahrt) weg und schlagartig eine Menge Bewegung im Alltag. Zuerst hatte ich ein Kurbelrad unter dem Schreibtisch. Dann habe ich verschiedene Steh-Bretter probiert. Jetzt bin ich bei Walkolution gelandet und finde es super. Ich gehe nicht sehr schnell, aber merke doch am Abend, dass ich viel in Bewegung war. Es gibt Tätigkeiten mit hoher Konzentration, die mache ich (im Moment noch) lieber im sitzen, weil das Laufband-Geräusch ablenkt. Das Laufband ist dafür schnell zur Seite gerollt.
Wenn es nicht im Arbeitszimmer unter dem Dach stünde, würde ich sicher auch in meiner Freizeit einsetzen und weniger auf dem Sofa sitzen. Um es da hochzuschaffen (als ich sicher war, dass ich es behalten möchte), musste ich 2 starke Möbelträger beauftragen - das war für uns sonst nicht zu schaffen.
Toll ist, dass man die Geh-Geschwindigkeit nicht konstant halten muss, das schien mir ein enormer Vorteil gegenüber motorbetriebenen Laufbändern. Und natürlich ist gut, dass es keinen Strom frisst. Die Erstanschaffung war teuer, daher habe ich das einfachste Modell "ohne alles" genommen. Über die Jahre wird das sicher eine gute Investition in Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden gewesen sein.
